Who we are
AquilaCyber exists so that talent isn't the limiting factor in Africa's cybersecurity future — access is. We're building the community, training, and mentorship to close that gap.
To build Africa's next generation of cybersecurity professionals through accessible, hands-on learning, community collaboration, and real-world readiness.
A secure African digital future — powered by local talent, practical skills, and a community that grows together instead of gatekeeping.
Our story
Early 2025
Started as a small community-driven initiative under AlturaCyber, focused on making cybersecurity practice accessible to beginners across Africa.
2025
Our flagship structured mentorship program goes live, built around labs and CTF-style challenges instead of slides.
2026
AquilaCyber Defenders opens its first campus chapters, starting with AAUA and Federal University Dutse.
2026
A full relaunch across every program — HIT, Defenders, the CTF platform, and community events — as we work toward becoming a registered NGO.
The principles that shape every program, lab, and decision we make.
Labs, CTFs, and real projects beat slides. We believe skill is built by doing.
Cybersecurity education shouldn't depend on where you live or what you can afford.
Built for the realities, threats, and opportunities specific to the African continent.
We grow by lifting each other — mentorship and peer learning over gatekeeping.
